There
are a variety of places to eat and drink in Trujillo. Although Trujillo
is relatively small, these establishments are located in four very distinct
locations: downtown Trujillo, the beach just below the town, the beach
out by the airport and finally the area between Trujillo and the town
of Santa Fe. The first two areas are within walking distance of each other,
the third is within walking distance of the Christopher Columbus Beach
Resort and The Trujillo Bay Hotel. It is easy to travel between these
two areas by taxi, as they are only five minutes away by car, the last
is harder to reach, however you can take the local transportation between
Trujillo and Santa Fe to reach the establishments in this area . For the
purpose of this listing, I am separating the establishments according
to their location. They are not listed in any other specific order.

the beach, just next to the Bahia Bar. It is not yet in full operation,
but its bar is open and they offer limited service on weekends. Very pleasant
tropical construction on the beach. |
Santa
Fe Area
Although
actually not part of Trujillo, This area is so close and has a couple
of great eateries, that I have felt compelled to include them! |
Campamento
Restaurant. Located only 4 km. from Trujillo on the road to Santa
Fe, this restaurant offers a paradise setting amongst palm trees and next
to the beach. Excellent seafood, as well as typical foods, such as iguana
and tepesquintle are served here. Full bar service. Open from 7:00 a.m.

El
Caballero. The favorite spot for seafood amongst the locals. This
is perhaps one of the best restaurants in for seafood in the north coast
of Honduras. The setting is of course rustic, but the food is outstanding.
The restaurant is located in the Garifuna community of Santa Fe, 12 km.
west of Trujillo. |
